Today is Clean Air Day!

Everyone deserves clean air, no matter where they live.

For too long, Hamilton residents have lived with some of the highest levels of industrial air pollution in Ontario. ArcelorMittal Dofasco remains one of the city's largest sources of air pollution and climate emissions.

The good news? Cleaner steelmaking technology already exists. Dofasco committed to phase out coal-based steelmaking and transition to cleaner production methods.

Hamilton shouldn't have to choose between a strong economy and clean air. We can have both.

We're calling on Dofasco to follow through on its commitment!

This morning, Opposition Party members joined Environmental Defence in requesting that taxpayers not be left in the dark for what is expected to be the province’s costliest mega-highway.
