Here’s a bit about Ivan:
Ivan Estey Jovanovic’s music education began in Serbia at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade where he completed his BMus and MMus in piano performance. In 2005, he joined Belgrade Opera Orchestra as a principal vocal coach, mastering an enormous opera repertoire. Jovanovic came to Toronto in 2013 to complete his MMus. in Collaborative Piano from the University of Toronto under the professorship of Steven Philcox. After winning the prestigious Gwendolyn Williams Koldofsky Prize in Accompanying, he joined the UofT Opera Division as a vocal coach and pianist until 2017. In 2023, Jovanovic began his collaboration with classical saxophone students at UofT. Presently, he is a regular vocal coach and harpsichordist in UofT’s Early Music Department and Schola Cantorum. From 2014 to present, Jovanovic has been the accompanist at Toronto City Opera.

Here’s a bit about Jamaica:
Jamaica Fraser is a multidisciplinary performer based in Brampton, Ontario. She is a heels dancer with SHE The Company and a performer with CAKE Cabaret. A graduate of George Brown College’s Dance Performance program, her work spans stage and screen, with credits including Mr. Monk’s Last Case, Bluebeard’s Castle, and Holly Hobbie. She was part of the Dora Award–winning production of Bluebeard’s Castle and received a nomination for Outstanding Ensemble. Rooted in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and heels, Jamaica brings musicality, emotional depth, and a strong physical presence to cabaret and live performance.

MEET THE DANCERS!! Next up! the one and only A’Slayna von Hunt. The brilliant has collaborated with us as dancer and choreographer for our Opera Burlesque series from the beginning and we couldn’t do it without her creative genius!

Here’s a bit about A’Slayna:
A’Slayna Von Hunt, Canada’s versatile vixen, mixing high glamour and bad dad jokes with just a dash of danger. A’Slayna has performed across Canada, founded Barrie’s first burlesque school, produced over 250 burlesque performances and is currently choreographing, costuming and performing at Cake Cabaret in Toronto. A’Slayna is part of the Slain Productions team, creating sold-out shows like ‘Fellowstrip of the Rings’ as well as successful community-based monthly shows, like ‘Bootleggers Burlesque’.
