Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for Studio Sillage No. 5!
We loved seeing so many new faces alongside our incredible regulars, all coming together to celebrate a shared love for fragrances! Your passion is what makes these gatherings so special!
We’re already counting down the days until No. 6! See you in August!
Miguel Adrover and Lee McQueen both had a restless energy. In London, they moved in the same circles, and that connection stayed with Miguel when he moved to New York.
When Miguel opened Horn on East 9th Street, it became a place to experiment. McQueen would bring over bags of studio scraps, the leftover pieces from his own work, and Miguel would turn them into something new in the back of the shop where he lived. This resourcefulness was more than just a way to save money; it was a way to push back against the polished, corporate fashion of the ‘90s.
He used those cast-offs and street finds to create a new style of deconstruction. That raw, scrappy approach inspired the designers and collectors who shape the industry today.
We are excited to host the Canadian premiere of The Designer is Dead, the story of Miguel Adrover.
