Here’s some sweet news for Ontario dessert 🧁 lovers 💕: NYC’s iconic Magnolia Bakery is expected to be expanding into Ontario, with 10 locations to be announced in the near future. A Toronto location is widely anticipated, although yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned!

The story of Magnolia Bakery 🧁 began in 1996 in NYC’s West Village. The branch started when Allyssa Torey and Jennifer Appel launched a quaint, retro-inspired bakery at 401 Bleeker Street.

The bakery became a cultural sensation when they began making cupcakes from extra cake batter. This simple choice was so popular that it triggered a city-wide cupcake boom.

The shop gained international fame in 2000 following a short cameo on S*x and the City. We were huge fans of the series and discovered the cupcakes on the SATC bus tour. The rest is history.

I visit Magnolia Bakery for their iconic vanilla cupcakes every time I visit NYC.
