The Establishment has profiled Madeleine Co. and our new project "Listen to the Chorus" with a link to view the film!

We debuted "Listen to the Chorus" as a large scale, 4-channel video installation at the recent Nuit Blanche Toronto. The piece was created in collaboration with poet Nasim Asgari and composer Cecilia Livingston alongside singers Jacoba Barber-Rozema, Joanna Diindiisi Kwe Simmons, and Renee The Voice.

‘I Was Born Resisting’ – The Establishment ‘Listen to the Chorus’ is a new video installation by the Toronto art collective, Madeleine Co. It’s message? Refuse to be silent.

In the last episode of the season, The Head is ashamed to learn that he needs to be repaired. Annie Wong helps him deal with his shame by sharing how she transformed her own shame about her menstruation into period pride! Paddy Leung teaches us how to make a DIY Tamponata filled with expensive tampons to share with your friends for your next moon party. Finally, artist Farihah Shah shows how we can use photography and art to confront uncomfortable pressing issues, no matter how prickly they are.
