To celebrate Filipino Heritage and Independence Month, nuflo has designed a graphic to pay tribute to Original Pinoy Music with an homage to the legendary VST&Co. band.
Formed in 1977 in Manila, VST & Company was a Filipino Disco band that was considered a pioneers in propelling Filipino Music. With iconic songs such as "Tayo'y Magsayawan"(Tah-yoy mag/suh/yah/wan) and "Awitin mo at Isasayaw ko"(A-wee-teen moh at Ee-sah-sah-yao koh), VST&Co had the jams that had that still have filipinos from now all over the world old and young go off at the dance floor.
"Sumabay sa takbo ng tugtugan" loosely translates to "Keep up with the flo(w) of the Music", a quote taken from VST&Co. song "Tayo'y Magsayawan" that truly resonates with nuflo and our appreciation to music and filipino culture.

It's been a pretty wild year and we hope everyone has been keeping safe.

During covid the challenge was trending, and we knew this was something we had to join in on and kill it!

As POC, we decided to add our own take to the challenge. Growing up we never really saw any characters on TV that looked like us, so we knew we would have to change that for this redraw.
