A final tip of the hat for this curatorial reminiscing on ‘Nature with Nurture’ for and which took place last November…
Ultimately my favourite part of being allowed “in” to curate artwork is the deeply personal and devoted perspectives I am exposed to by the artists I have the privilege of working with.
Art has a way of speaking clearly to what cannot fully be said otherwise. It allows you to recognize your presence in the world while simultaneously giving you the chance to adopt an ideation of it that has nothing to do with you. A stunning process that develops self-centred awareness, only to renounce it for a vaster selfless vision of humanity.
Occupying experience through the eyes of others is an exercise in empathy. It is a way to learn and ponder the unity of our existence together and Art is an unlimited language that allows us to do so.
