Black Mental Health Week: Healing in Connection 🖤✨️
Black mental health deserves intention, care, and community — both in person and in our digital spaces.
At Lifted by Purpose, we believe healing isn’t just individual — it’s relational. It happens in connection.
For many in Black communities, collective care has always been a protective force — alive in barbershops, faith spaces, creative circles, and family kitchens, where wisdom, trust, culture, and belonging are passed down, and now also shared through digital communities that connect us across distance.
Connection to:
đź–¤ Community
đź–¤ Culture
đź–¤ Safe conversations
đź–¤ Our stories
đź–¤ Ourselves
Healing happens when we feel seen, can name burnout without shame, gather in spaces where culture is understood, and move from survival to restoration — together, online and offline.
Ask yourself this week:
Who are my safe people?
Where can I exhale?
How am I helping others feel safe — in person and digitally?
Rest is valid. Therapy is valid. Joy is necessary.
We don’t heal in isolation.
We heal in community. đź–¤

Valentine’s Day can mean a lot of different things.
For some, it’s romance. For others, it’s friendship. For many, it’s the quiet comfort of knowing someone checks in, listens deeply, and holds space when life feels heavy.
Today isn’t just about couples. It’s about the people who show up. The friends who send the “did you get home safe?” text. The mentors who remind you who you are when you forget. The family you’re born into — and the family you choose.
Love isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s in the shared meals, the hard conversations, the laughter that heals, the boundaries that protect your peace.
However you experience love — romantic, platonic, communal, or self-love — may you feel supported, valued, and seen.
And if today feels tender for you, I hope you’re gentle with your heart. You deserve care too. 🖤
