Lay-Up’s 2026 Coaches of the Year, in partnership with the Toronto Tempo.

We recognize the importance of redefining success in coaching. It’s about celebrating young leaders who go beyond developing basketball skills.

This award celebrates coaches who pour into youth by centering belonging, celebrating different contributions, and challenging every young person in ways that meet them where they’re at to build confidence.

Hassan and Andrea embody what this looks like in action. Their leadership, care, and commitment are creating positive sport experiences for thousands of kids across the city.
