Loop: Design for Social Good

If we are appreciating women, but not advocating for women, then we are only doing half the work.
✊
This International Women’s day, we are looking to leaders like and whose advocacy work is addressing gender inequity that still exists both in Canada & abroad. Let’s support these organizations and take action to build a fair and equitable world where ALL women can thrive without fear of oppression.

Today we get to share a very exciting project that we’ve been hard at work on this summer & fall. The Loop team was incredibly lucky to collaborate on fresh creative for the long-standing Holiday Adoption Campaign! Many members of the Loop team remember this campaign as a holiday staple when we were kids - regularly adopting species or receiving them as gifts. It’s a campaign that’s very close to our hearts, and we’re so proud to have WWF Canada as part of our client family.
🐼
We started by reimagining the campaign’s flagship printed catalogue. The new campaign identity is on full display featuring a lively colour palette, bespoke paw prints and custom badges all rooted in the iconic WWF brand.

As we head into Thanksgiving weekend, The Loop team is feeling thankful for our home in Toronto, while remembering that our ability to work and live here now is a direct benefit of policies of expulsion and assimilation of Indigenous peoples during the time of settlement and ever since. This summer, Loop adopted a Professional Pledge of Reconciliation (weareloop.com/pledge-of-reconciliation) - our commitment to further reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples in Canada. We start by acknowledging the traditional territory of the Indigenous peoples who called this land home long before the arrival of settlers.

Most of the data for this graphic was gathered from Native Land - a powerful and dynamic resource that helps map traditional territories in Canada and all over the world.
