🎉Today we're celebrating one of our founding members, Dr. Beverley Orser, who has been appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada.

An anesthesiologist and neuroscientist, Dr. Orser has spent her career asking how medications affect memory, consciousness, and the brain, and then turning those answers into safer care for patients. In 2000, she was one of five founders who brought ISMP Canada to life, helping create an organization dedicated to strengthening medication safety.

Her recognition is a reminder that patient safety is a science, a discipline, and a shared responsibility.
