The World Economic Forum highlights: https://www.weforum.org/stories/all/beyond-access-why-ai-literacy-will-define-the-future/ an emerging shift in the digital divide, identifying a growing gap driven by AI use: those who generate content uncritically using AI, and those who engage with it thoughtfully by evaluating, analyzing, and questioning its outputs. They define AI literacy as "understanding how AI works, evaluating its outputs critically, recognizing its limitations, identifying bias, considering ethical implications and exercising human judgement when interacting with intelligent systems." MTML’s AI in Literacy Toolkit and AI Literacy Lab are designed to help adult educators and learners move into this second group by building core AI literacy skills such as questioning sources, understanding how tools work, and reflecting on impacts, rather than simply producing AI-generated content. The AI Made Simple podcast further supports this shift by breaking down AI concepts in clear language, helping listeners understand AI systems, ethics, and everyday implications so they can engage with AI thoughtfully instead of using tools on autopilot. https://www.mtml.ca/resources
