We’ve closed our business but we are keeping our charity efforts going! Thank you to the 18 brewery teams who are coming to lawnbowl to raise money for tomorrow at the Etobicoke Lawn Bowling Club. Here are some highlights from our first ever Beer Sisters Bowl-o in Sept 2019!

Choo choo! One of the most scenic Ontario is Trestle Brewing Company — and the beer is solid, the clean, crisp pils and easy-drinking were my faves.

Hey friends, we have officially closed Beer Sisters Inc.

Co-founding a business with your sister is a dream—and we were stupid lucky to have worked side-by-side for over five years building Beer Sisters into a national beer consultancy. Like many small businesses, the pandemic was challenging for us, and we have each decided that we’d like to do something different.

Tara Luxmore Elliot is currently looking for new opportunities in food and beverage. If you know of any, she would be thrilled to hear from you at tara@ beersisters.com.

Crystal is co-writing a graphic novel with her husband Conor McCreery. It’s about her middle-school years—and will be coming out in 2025. She is also doing a bit of beer consulting and writing, please stay in touch crystal@ beersisters.com.

Some of our favourite moments include: headlining a craft beer festival in Grapevine Texas, covering and speaking at festivals in Halifax, Vancouver and Denver, cramming for our Cicerone exams, and throwing Wild Things Fest.

But most of all we will remember our amazing colleagues and clients, whom we were lucky to work with. We were honoured to be invited to your brew days, interview you about a charitable project at your brewery, lead a tasting, and to make meaningful connections beyond beer and business.

We’ve raised over $60,000 for organizations serving Aboriginal women and children in Toronto through our Annual Charity Hopspiel and Lawn Bowl-o. We will continue to throw these annually to support Native women and their children in Toronto.

Watch out for a save the date Beer Sisters Bowl-O this September.

All the best, C&T

Our guide to Ontario is in the fall issue of l
LCBO Food & Drink mag in stores noooowwww. We organized this guide by WHERE cider is made, because we feel that place tells a story that comes through in the final beverage, whether it’s an orchard-based cidery, a production house or a brewery. We also tried to highlight new and up and coming cideries along with some classics. 🍎🍏🍎. Learn about them all and find a new fave in this month’s issue.
