Digital Marketing 202

07/06/2014

A high performing website can mean a lot of different things for different businesses. Here is a 4 point check list you can implement today to increase the performance of your website:

1) A concise elevator pitch.

Go to your website and ask "If I didn't know what this company did, could I easily find out in less than 3 seconds?"

Go to your competitors' websites and do the same exercise.

You will be surprised there are clear explanations of exactly how an organization can help you.

2) A call to action.

What is the one or two activities that a prospect can do on a website that will lead to more revenue for your company?

Is it to pick the phone?

To submit a form?

To make a purchase online?

Define the highest leverage activity and make it easier for the prospect to complete that activity.

3) Testimonials.

Customer experiences go a long way. Are testimonials clearly visible on your website?

Depending on your business and the types of clients you have, collect testimonials that address different segments of your market. This way, each testimonial resonates with a wider audience.
