The Lansdowne Cone

Some of you may remember the hot summer days when you could get a little feel good scoop of ice cream at The Lansdowne Cone - first in Bloordale Village, and then over in Regent Park.

The Lansdowne Cone was a 10 yr self sustaining Social Purpose Ice Cream parlour - supporting kids with high barriers to employment get supportive summer jobs. I"ve attached out impact sheet, if you're a numbers person.

We lost our space in Regent Park a few years ago, and it's been sitting in storage, waiting for it's next opportunity. But it's time to figure that one out.

WHAT that opportunity is can be many things, and that's where YOU come in...

Do you work with youth, and want to take over the daily operations (and bulk of the seasonal profit) from the parlour? we could become partners.

Do you have an interest in using a seasonal business to support your own employment training goals, and you want to buy the business?

Do you have a use for the equipment, and want to buy second hand freezers, waffle makers, mixers for a good price?

It’s taken us this long to announce because we didn’t want to believe that it wasn’t possible.

We have explored a few different options, and The Daniels Corporation has been such a strong supporter, working with us to find a new home.

We are so sad. Sad for the lost youth jobs in Regent Park. And missing all of YOU!

We will keep trying! Fingers crossed for next year.
