Boho Berry Sangria 🍹
This weather has me craving something fresh and light and this drink checks off all the boxes! 🍓🍷🌸🍋

In the words of very own talented chef and food and drink stylist Crystal Powell, this mouth watering beverage is “raspberry and has wild strawberry notes, morello cherries, hints of florality and tangerine peel with a beautifully refreshing acidity”.

Perfect for those of us that love a little fruit flavour but not a lot of sweet! I LOVE 💕 this drink!

Berry Boho Sangria
Recipe (Makes 1-2)

1 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit or segments
6 oz Sparkling Rose
2 oz Juniper berry syrup
1/4 tsp cardamom seeds
1-3 pcs fresh blueberries or sliced strawberries
1 lemon rim twist

Juniper berry syrup:
Place the water, sugar and juniper berry seeds in a small saucepan over medium and heat until all of the sugar is dissolved.
Let this cool. Use a fine strainer, remove the seeds. Store in a mason jar or lidded container and refrigerate until ready for use.
(If seeds are left in, its will gradulary have a very strange flavour)

Cocktail:
In a shaker, muddle the cardamom and grapefruit, then mix together juniper berry syrup and sparkling rose. Stir well.
In a chilled melodia / rock crystal glass, add 2-3 cubes of ice and then strain the mixer in the glass
Garish with fresh berries of your choice and lemon rim twist.

Who else's daughters love to cartwheel all over the place? Or do you remember as a child loving to tumble and be upside down? There is something so freeing about letting go and flying through the air. Takes trust in yourself and the earth to catch you! A goal for me this year is to be more "in my body" (less in the clouds!) Find my footing. Maybe try some cartwheels myself! ⠀

I love this photo of sweet little Zoë. 🌸 What i love most about it is mama's graceful hand, softly holding her daughter. The truth is we werent sure if she would stay long enough for me to take a shot in that moment...but what I see in a frozen frame is the connection between mom and babe. It's the little things. ⠀ ⠀
