Let’s talk about it 👇
When you’re looking for a therapist, what matters most?
• Connection?
• Experience with a specific concern?
• A warm, human approach?
• Evidence-based practice?
• Practical tools- or space to just be heard?
Everyone’s answer is different- and that’s exactly how it should be.

At this time of year, emotions can run high. Expectations, family dynamics, sensory overwhelm, traditions, pressure… it’s a lot.
At Ripple, we remind clients of one grounding truth: you don’t have to hold what isn’t yours.
☃️ Things Out of Our Control:
– Other people’s moods
– How relatives comment on your life, parenting, or choices
– Old family patterns resurfacing
– Traffic, weather, crowds, travel delays
– Whether someone understands your boundaries
– How others celebrate (or don’t celebrate) the holidays
🏠Things In Our Control:
– The boundaries we set
– How we speak to ourselves
– Taking breaks when our nervous system needs one
– Choosing what traditions feel right this year
– How much time, energy, or money we give
– Where we place our attention
– Reaching out for support when things feel heavy
Gentle reminder:
You don’t have to earn rest. You don’t have to attend every gathering. You’re allowed to choose what supports your wellbeing.
This season, try placing your energy where it matters most - on what’s actually yours to hold 🩵
