The CHBA AGM will take place on Thursday, July 23, 2026, in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual attendance options. The virtual meeting link will be sent to CHBA members in good standing, closer to the AGM date.

This year, CHBA will also hold elections for its 2026–2027 Board of Directors, with three Board positions available. Applications from eligible members across Canada are strongly encouraged.

The deadline to apply for the Board is July 17, 2026.

🎓 LAUNCHING: The 2026 Canadian Hispanic Bar Association (CHBA) Legal Education & Access Scholarships!

The Canadian Hispanic Bar Association (CHBA) is pleased to invite CHBA University Chapters to apply for the 2026 CHBA Legal Education & Access Scholarships.

CHBA will be awarding four CAD$1,000 scholarships to outstanding students who are active CHBA members, in recognition of their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to the legal community.

These scholarships are part of CHBA’s equity-driven initiatives aimed at addressing barriers faced by the Hispanic and Latin community in accessing the legal profession.

This initiative is more than a one-week experience, it’s a gateway for Latin American and Hispanic students to see themselves in the legal profession and explore paths in corporate, criminal, international law, and social justice.
