Revolution Recording just hit a triple! Saya Gray, Alexis Baro y La Big Band and ATOM (Artists of the Missing) all of whose albums were recorded at Revolution are nominated for the 2026 JUNO Awards being handed out in Hamilton on Sunday March 29th. ATOM’s MISSING is nominated in the Classical Album of the Year (small ensemble) category. Alexis Baro’s Afrokando is nominated in Jazz Album of the Year: Group. Saya is nominated in Breakthrough Artist of the Year and her album SAYA is nominated for Alternative Album of the Year. And another shout out to Revolution’s good friend, engineer L. Stu Young, who’s nominated for Recording Engineer of the Year, for his work recording and mixing Saya Grey’s nominated album. Good luck to everyone on 3/29!

The Canadian Songwriters' Hall of Fame just inducted Alannah Myles' monster 1990 global # 1 hit "Black Velvet," written by Christopher Ward and
Dave Tyson and Revolution was chosen to handle the record/film session for the induction video. Hats off to Christopher for his decision NOT to recreate the original but rather to unlock the song's steamy southern soul in this great acoustic arrangement. And the musicians! In addition to Chris there's Justin Abedin on guitar and Davide Direnzo on percussion with the sublime Damnhait Doyle and Serena Ryder reprising Alannah's role. A fitting tribute to an all-time great composition.
