Another beautiful velvet bull taken at Iron North this past season. Jon put some hard miles on backpacking and tagged this big wide framed bull half way through the hunt. We aim for a 370” B&C minimum and regularly exceed that by leaps and bounds. Hard miles, blisters, heat packs and sweaty brows are all worth it when you walk up to an animal of this caliber. Congrats to our hard working crew for putting the time in as well! You guys earned it. .kwiatkowski

Another great old ram from this season at Iron North. Cole Carter was the winner of last years WSSBC raffle drawing for the dall sheep hunt with us. Initially, we sent Cole into a remote area that had not been hunted and he came out empty after passing up a legal 7 year old ram. He was later able to come back and brought along an old friend, Leland Gilberg. Leland and I guided together back in 2009 for BPO and much of the horse knowledge I continue to teach was passed on to me by Leland, so to switch positions and have this legendary guide come do a hunt for us was pretty special. He may have aged a bit, but the old boy still has it! They tagged out on this mighty fine ram half way through their hunt and in fine sheep hunting fashion, slept on the mountain in the rain to get it done. Congrats guys! It was a pleasure having you both, and more importantly, thankyou to for helping us to put and keep sheep on the mountain! The things the Wild Sheep Society of BC does behind the scenes for conservation of wild sheep in BC is mind blowing. We are proud to support them and if one day hunting a wild sheep ever crosses your mind, you should too!
