LASA at UTSC
10/09/2015
Hey guys!
I am the President of LASA (in which I hope to guide the team to an eventful year that will enrich the lives of executives, members, and the UTSC student body)
I'm studying public policy and political science
I am in LASA because I want to share this warm, fun and inviting culture (that I love so much) with other people around me, all the while encouraging diversity, respect, and cultural awareness in our communities.
I am Colombian and Canadian and could not be prouder of my two identities!!
I would love to have events where we can enrich our academic experience through critically analyzing and having a discussion about Latin American issues within and outside of Latin America.
A fun fact about me is that I am the oldest of 6 kids and my house is always a blast!
Thank you so much to everyone that showed up for the sidewalk salsa today! It was a very successful event and keep in mind that this was the first time that we did it at UTSC. It is something that we are so keen to continue that we are already planning tons of more sidewalk salsa events in the fall so keep posted! This is an event that we plan on hosting with other collaborators with the intention to enhance latin american dances as a de-stressor and as a way to gather all kinds of dancers in one single event. It doesn't matter if you are professional or you've never danced before because there will be space for you! P.S. next semester with better weather we will actually host the sidewalk salsa ON THE SIDE WALK OUTSIDE!
