Our visual art students visited the Gardiner Museum for an immersive ceramics experience. Students explored “In Search of Imperfection: The Macdonald Collection of Japanese and Japanese-Inspired Ceramics” through a guided tour, then created their own clay sculptures in the Sculpted Identities workshop, led by a museum educator. It was a wonderful opportunity to uncover the stories told by ceramic works and peel back the layers of personal, cultural, and political identity embedded in them.

Some of our students joined visiting students from Istanbul for an unforgettable journey through Canada’s French-influenced cities - Ottawa, Montréal, and Québec City. They explored Parliament Hill and ByWard Market in Ottawa, Old Montréal and Mount Royal, and the streets of Old Québec, where they took in the charm and history of the iconic Château Frontenac. With guided tours, Canadian classics like poutine and beavertails, and shared experiences along the way, this was truly an unforgettable trip!
