Classical Pursuits

Our group at the famous beehive tomb at Mycenae, the town and area south of Athens where Agamemnon returned after the Trojan War. They are savoring the many opportunities to read Homer in the places where his poems took place.

A few of my favourite views from our ship, the Ganges Voyager. In the last shot, our guide Dipta explained that the group on the riverbank had likely been concluding a 13-day mourning period for a family member. Their ceremony included washing in the Ganges and changing into new clothing.
