2. The Type: Only applies to NEW builds (Pre-con or brand new from a builder).
3. The Use: Must be your primary residence or a long-term rental.
❌ IMPORTANT: Resale homes (previously owned) do NOT get this. Why? Because they are already HST-Exempt. You don’t pay HST on resale, so there’s nothing to rebate 👍🏼
