YCC Design Interiors

YCC Design Interiors is growing! We are looking for an intermediate designer with strong management skills to support the Principals on interior projects from the pre-schematic phase through design development, purchasing, and installation.
We seek an exceptional candidate who has a passion for design, is highly organized, deadline oriented and a self-starter. This position will be offered on a contract basis and part time position approximately 25 hrs per week starting January 13th 2025 .

Project Management and Ex*****on:

* Participate in team meetings and construction site visits and maintain meeting notes/documentation for internal record keeping
* Manage project procurement for FF&E purchase orders, track budget & client spending, manage deliveries, and installations.
* Manage project timelines with vendor production lead times to ensure timely installation
* Maintain quality control throughout the project.

Job Requirements

* 5 + years experience working in a design firm
* In-depth knowledge of architectural conventions, including plans, elevations, sections, construction details, lighting design and millwork
* Strong computer skills in excel, Sketch up and AutoCAD
* Experience purchasing and budget management
* A passion for design and a commitment to excellence
* Express desire to source new products and develop innovative design solutions
* A desire to support and strengthen the success of the team
* A willingness to wear multiple hats (small design team)
* Self starter and problem solver
* Ability to create and implement systems and maximize productivity and creativity
* Strong communication and organization skills
* Live in the GTA and have your own car
