The Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women’s Empowerment is a charitable organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women in Etobicoke-Lakeshore and beyond. Our multi-part programming is specially designed to maximize the potential of girls and young women ages 7-17 with curriculum that allows them to feel capable and confident.

Our Vision✨️
To enrich the lives of girls and young women ages 7 to 17 years old through mentorship, empowerment programs and civic engagement with opportunities that place special emphasis on personal development and experiential learning.

Hi, I’m Natasha Joseph,

CEO and Founder of From The Root Up.

As a registered massage therapist for over 24 years and a graduate of holistic nutrition, I was made aware of the harmful ingredients in household and personal care products. This led to a deep cleaning of the products used in our home which were replaced with clean products and trustworthy brands I came to trust.

What began as a therapeutic hobby, handcrafting organic soap, soon became a calling. In 2021, From The Root up was born, dedicated to creating bath, body and household products with certified organic, skin safe ingredients. As someone who had eczema as a child, I’m committed to offering products gentle enough for the most sensitive skin.

From handcrafted soaps and a variety of natural personal care products made with certified organic plant-based ingredients. All candles are made with a plant-based wax blend of coconut and apricot with lead-free candle wicks. Every product is crafted with care and integrity. At From The Root Up, we do the research so you don’t have to- clean, conscious products for everyday living.
