Pic 1: Wainscotting with custom radiator cover. Built from standard basboard mdf. To get the inside boxes to match the mdf and not look like a painted wall we sanded the orange peel away to a smooth finish.
Materials cost 10pc of mdf baseboard $39.99

Pic 2: Large baseboard although not really this is 2 pc with a bead of trim silcone giving you the affect of a single large pc. Could save you 80% of the cost of buying 8-9 inch tall trim.
