Such a pretty place to walk and swim! ⁣

There’s lots of other parks and access points to explore the bluffs and we were so surprised by the pretty blue water! ⁣

Snow Farm Winery was a gem in South Hero Island, VT! 🍷⁣
⁣
You can bike here across the causeway from Colchester or Burlington or you can drive here. We chose to drive this day because the ferry was closed on the causeway - which was probably for the best because it would have been a bit of a long ride with the kids. 🚲⁣
⁣
Snow Farm was such a treat! They had plenty of seating inside and outside, and were accommodating to our kids which is always appreciated! I had heard nothing but great things from my coworkers and now I agree. ⁣

They have both wine & spirit tastings and you can get cocktails made with their spirits too! I definitely look forward to swinging by here again to try some! 🤩⁣

I only had a day to swing by and visit all of my favorite places in southern Maine this past week as we made our way back to VT from VA, but I had to make it happen. ⁣
⁣
We have spent the last 3 summers in Maine, two of them in southern Maine and New Hampshire. It absolutely feels like home - because it was home for us at one point. ⁣
⁣
This summer in Vermont has felt so busy with all of our multiple trips back home literally. every. single. month. that we haven’t gotten to appreciate it as much as we normally do when we’re in an area. ⁣

So, as much as I am charmed by Vermont.. I still feel “at home” during the summer by the coast of Maine - even if for a short time. ⛵️⁣
