FACT FRIDAY: Your doctor doesn't care about you more than you should care about you. I hate to break it you but you're another invoice for the payroll. This makes me really mad. It also makes me really sad. Our society is getting sicker and sicker and I don't write off the medical community entirely because there are Docs out there who do genuinely care for patients but those numbers seem to be getting smaller and smaller.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On countless occasions i've had to do my own research and solve my own medical issues because I wasn't being heard and being made out to feel like there is nothing That can be done about it. But they were wrong. You have to take your health into your own hands. You need to empower yourself with information and don't just give into what your doctors tells you you are or you can do. They are people too and they can only do so much.

Exercise, low stress, whole foods, and good sleep have ALL been linked to help fight so man illnesses and ailments its insane. THE NEWS IS OUT. The studies are in. Its time for you to take matters into your own hands and do the work. Do the research for your healths sake. And if your not sick now great! But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be doing the work now to help you out later.

🙌🏽🙌🏽What's your WIN this week? I'll go first.....

I had been telling myself for a few years now that I wanted to increase my flexibility and get my splits down. I found this amazing app called and signed up for the month. I've been practising everyday for the last 6 days and I'm already seeing and feeling results and it feels amazing to be inching (literally) that much closer to my goal.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🤗 The reason this is a WIN for me is because 1) I have never stretched this intensely for this many days before in a methodic practise and 2) it's reignited the fire in me to push my physical boundaries.

🤲🏽 It's a reminder to myself that my body is capable of amazing things and not to take it for granted. I feel so blessed to be able to have a body that is functioning properly and capable of change at the same time, it's actually phenomenal how the body works.

TIP TUESDAY: You want to go hard? You want to sweat? What about just showing up to start. When you get a new workout plan you have really good intentions in the beginning. But you go hard and the thought of doing this all the time is unnerving. You're following fitness influencers on here and thinking you need that level of "work" from the jump. YOU DON'T.

Just start slow and show up day to day. Give your self the space to start off as a beginner. And let's get real girl, you aren't there yet. And thats totally OK.

I've been there myself. I got the bug more than once and thought I could go all in and I burnt out fast. Slow and steady wins the race and you will get there eventually I can assure you.
