Meet some of the artists we will exhibit tomorrow at Palengke

Azia Jonelle (b. 1999, Toronto, Ontario) is a second-generation Filipino artist based in Toronto. She recently studied at OCAD University, completing a BFA in Photography.
She is primarily a lens-based artist but often experiments with other disciplines such as textile, sculpture and installation work. An emphasis on the intimacy of relationships (ie. platonic, familial, romantic) is the motivation for her practice. In more recent work, tradition and culture play a big role striving to create connections to her heritage.

Kim Kaye (she/her) is a first-generation Filipino photographer based in Toronto. Her work
mainly focuses on her personal experiences of self-discovery from an immigrant
perspective through her works in photography, journal, drawing, and illustration.
Kim’s been honing her skills in street photography since 2015 and she was recently part
of an exhibit called “BANGON” by Kapisanan’s program called “KAMI”.

Jomilee Lynch is a Queer-Filipino, multifacted artist based in Toronto. She is currently studying at Toronto Metropolitan University in the Image Arts: Film Studies program. Her main focus is visual storytelling through filmmaking as a director. She also partakes in other mediums including photography, writing, and visual arts as a hobbyist that allows them to maintain creative juices flowing.

Arienne Domiclong (she/her/siya) is a Toronto based Filipina graphic designer, who specializes in brand identity, logo and editorial design. Through her work, she strives to create visual stories and meaningful design solutions. Recently, she has been focusing on learning and creating designs with a pre-colonial script from the Philippines called Baybayin.
