Lake Cottage’s interior, wrapped in whitewashed birch, unfolds as a series of playful discoveries. Fourteen carefully framed openings, a central hearth, and a carved log stair leading to a hidden reading nook create a warm and immersive space that sparks imagination and invites contemplation.

This project began with the premise that more space was not the answer. Instead, the existing house was carefully reorganized, opening new relationships between rooms, light, and landscape.

The before-and-after images reveal a process of refinement rather than accumulation.
