It’s been a while but I am back with a post! This is my childhood dollhouse that Baba & Papa built for me. It’s a Greenleaf The Harrison Tudor Style Dollhouse from 1979, and I have many found memories of playing with it in their basement. The original unit did not come with a shingles roof. My Papa cut and glued every single shingle you see and added them for detail. All the pieces for it have been purchased from their travels and also originate roughly from 1980-1990. The pieces are in mint condition and they range from brass beds to quality wooden furniture, flowers and cacti and there is even tiny fruit and eggs and a toaster with toast that I have managed to keep throughout the years. The oven in the kitchen is a 15 piece rod iron collectors unit and is worth $30 alone now. The dollhouse itself has one part wooden trim that just needs to be glued down, and the roof piece missing in the picture does exist and it’s completely fine, it just needs to be reattached to the hinges you see. This is where there is a secret room which I always enjoyed as a kid. Very minor work, I just don’t have the time for it. The dimensions of the dollhouse are 36 inches length x 30 inches high x 18.5 inches wide. If you would like the measurements of the rooms, just message me. I can also send some better pictures of some individual pieces for it so you can see their quality etc. $250

During the 90’s is when I remember Baba travelling the most. I was finally old enough to realize and pay attention to it, and quickly noticed she had the travel bug and was never home. Baba was tough. She always did what she wanted to do in life and she definitely enjoyed her new found freedom after my Papa passed away. I find it funny now to think about all the times she gave me s**t for not being as available as I should have been in my 20’s, because she did the exact same thing in her 70’s. What a wild woman she was and any s***k I have in me I like to think it comes from her. Here are some snaps of her passport from the late 90’s of her enjoying her life and living it to the fullest 💗

More travel trinkets from Baba’s worldly adventures! This vintage wooden decorative plates piece was purchased in Romania while Baba visited there in the early 80’s. Each piece is handmade and hand painted. I love the detailed colours around the outer edges. It measures 12” x 7.5” and is ready to hang! ($30)

••• SOLD ••• Up next from Baba’s collection is this vintage copy of the Christmas Books by Charles Dickens. This copy is undated, but research shows it would have been published in the 1930’s by Collins Clear-Type Press of London. Slightly larger than pocket sized and bound in red leather. This edition contains all five novellas and has black and white illustrations by A.A Dixon. The pages have not been written on.
