Cedar Blessing on the Door to my Office.

In our Tradition, Cedar is given as a gesture of gratitude, an offering in recognition for the gifts given.

The opportunity to work in pursuit of meaningful contribution is a gift
It is a privilege to have the support of home, food, water, safety and space to develop myself such that I feel inspired

This Cedar Blessing on my Door reminds me that when I enter into this Room
I am striving to make Wholy Effort.

I am striving to remind myself that Giving is a Practice of Presence, Integrity of Heart, Honesty of Spirit, Clarity and Humility of Mind.

I offer this blessing as a reminder to ask myself if I am working in ways that cultivate the most Salutogenic (health producing) expressions of myself?

This isn't about striving for Perfection.
It is about Beginning with Gratitude and returning to Gratitude

Because I know that my life is a Gift
I have been blessed with so much
May I use my privilege in the service of others

May my work by an expression of the Wholiness of my Being.

I understand that following along with a high energy dance, spin, running class....or grunting and sweating your way through a cross fit or HIT series can provide many benefits:
- mood boosting hormones
- sense of release
- feeling of success and accomplishment
- empowerment
.........
However, most of the time, these practices involve focusing on Performing certain movements, at a dictated speed and following a certain number of reps in a certain amount of time.

Where is your Awareness with what your Body is Learning in terms of:
- Postural Alignment
- Joint Protection
- Balanced Training based on Your Unique Postural Needs ?

When we go to train in generic classes - we bring our Imbalances to the Class - and we generally leave with them.

We also generally aren't given awareness of our imbalances unless we work privately with a coach who specializes in postural alignment and muscular synergy.

I know these things because Ive been there myself!

What if you could learn the Language of Your Optimal Movement Culture, so that everything you did - every step, every jump, every stretch, every class was Guaranteed to be helping to Balance your Posture, Increase the Resilience of your Joints, entrain your Muscular Intelligence?

This would mean that you would be supporting your long-term mobility and deep muscular tone every day - while you are training and even when you aren't.

Sun-DREAM-Day Greetings

Today I wanted to share some Movement Dreams that have become a reality for me and the over one hundred individuals I have had the honour of working with using The Regenerative Joint Care Method.

This picture was taken of me 3 1/2 years Ago. This is After I had been told that I would never dance again, never be able to lift more than 20lbs, would be lucky if I would be able to walk without pain, EVER.

This is me having proved that my prognosis was actually just a Story and NOT a prediction of MY FUTURE.

What is your movement dream - that you are holding near and dear to your heart? That whispers to you when you have those windows of more/less Pain...do you wish that your dreams could become a reality?

Every year Fall delights with a poignant and magnificent symphony of decay.

What deep wisdom each leafs proffers - expressing an exquisite beauty as it surrenders to its journey of decay and rebirth into compost into soil into nutrient into next year's buds.

Cycles of birth, death and rebirth.

The release of the light and welcoming of darkness.

The embrace of more space, where once there was leaf.

The sweet smell of fallen leaf.

The bluster of wind as it heralds monumental change.

Can I allow these winds to dance me into my own surrender to shift?

Towards a new season - a welcoming of possibility - a nestling into deep appreciation for what I have lived - and a gentle turning towards the unknown ahead.

Grieving is an absolutely necessary experience of being human.

We get attached in beautiful, terrible, tragic, impossible, and breathtaking ways to so much in our lives (lived and fantasized)

Losing what we love, what we need, what we long for requires grieving.

Requires space to honour the places in our body where attachment was sewn and tended through our dreams, words, wishes, tears, bodies, hearts.

Grieving allows the rivers of our feelings to flow over our tender wounds and soothe their suffering - grieving allows us to experience the poignant memories of our past alive again in our present.

The way we remember, the way we cherish, the way we hold on to dear connection...this offers so much insight into the wisdom and poetry that is unique to each of us.

Honour your grief, your connections, your losses, your memories - they hold us in a tangible dance with cycles of time, cycles of love, loss, birth, rebirth...
