It’s International Women’s Day and we wanted to celebrate by highlighting one of the many badass women who make Granito Coffee possible.

Aurora is 26 and was born in exile in Mexico during Guatemala’s civil war but now calls Santa Anita home.

In addition to growing coffee with her family, Aurora is a dedicated activist and accomplished artist. She even designed the label for our own Café Santa Anita. She says the grandmother at the centre of the label represents wisdom, knowledge, and the role played by women at the centre of the coffee process.

And for Aurora, coffee has in turn helped contribute to women's empowerment and independence. By working her own land and selling her own harvest, she has been able to pursue her own dreams.

To learn more about Aurora’s story and the revolutionary women coffee growers of Santa Anita, check out Granito’s recent blog post , linked in the bio.

And to all the amazing women coffee producers who contribute their granito by pursuing their dreams, THANK YOU! And HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY!!!
