Trademarks and franchises go hand in hand, a franchisor can grant a franchisee the right to buy its products and use its trade name, slogan, symbol.

As a franchisee, the top right that you are acquiring from your franchisor is the right to utilize their trademark. You will be replicating everything their business consists of, starting from the company's name and concluding with its services.

As a franchisor you must:
- Clarify and convey the acceptable and unacceptable ways for how the trademark can be used.

- Register trademark responsibly and have it renewed as the law dictates.
