On Wednesday June 2nd, we talked about 2 spiritual disciplines: Worship & Celebration.

We watched a video on Worship by Pastor John. We started off by defining the word Worship and it says that In Christianity, worship is the act of attributing reverent honour and homage to God. In the New Testament, various words are used to refer to the term worship. One is proskuneo ("to worship") which means to bow down to God or kings.

We then went on doing a round table of a series of Questions:
* What does worship means to you?
* Why do you worship?
* What are some ways that you worship?
* Why do you lift your hands when worshiping ?
* Do we have to be in the spirit to worship God?
* What is true worship?
* Is giving a form of worship?

We also talked about some ways we worship God:
* Offer sacrifice to god.
* Start your day with him
* Pray intentionally

Lastly, worship should be a joyful celebration.
The Hebrew word for celebrate comes from a root word meaning to laugh. Our God wants His people to be filled with a holy joy in His presence. We can see a great example of a joyful celebration as David brought the ark of the covenant into Jerusalem in 1 Chronicles 15.

Our challenge for the week varied from day to day. We had assigned tasks for each day like sharing our favourite worship songs with our fellowship partners, sharing our favourite scriptures that express worship to God, writing our own psalms to God, and so on!
