I see this and I wonder why I’m not smiling. Mustard is happy. Baseball is happy. I’m happy. I’m smiling on the inside.

What did you do for your dad on Father’s Day this year. Calgary Chef Matthew Batey got his dad a set of his favourite mustards. In the deli, my fave thing was when people would celebrate birthdays and family celebrations with us. Now, stuff like this makes me very very happy. Thanks Matt. You made at least two people very happy.

On Thursday June 18, the day after my birthday, I’ll be at Pitt Meadows Golf Club slicing and serving these beauties from Buzzy’s Luncheonette Howard Busgang along with some pretty good mustard.
