*This acrylic monochrome painting I made while pregnant with our 1st child, not knowing the gender at the time. In punjabi culture, his middle name would be Singh (meaning lion). From the moment I hung it on the wall in what is now his room, I felt an aura of pride, calmness, self awareness and safety, like me and my family are being watched over and protected, by one of the most beautiful animals, the warrior, the king of the jungle. All this emitted from one painting, art is a very powerful vessel.*
