🌳✨ It may seem unbelievable, but Earth is home to more trees than there are stars in the Milky Way galaxy.

While the Milky Way contains an estimated 100 to 400 billion stars, our planet hosts roughly 3 trillion trees, according to a 2015 study published in Nature. That’s about 400 trees for every human being on Earth.

These trees span forests, savannas, mountains, and even urban areas, playing a critical role in supporting life. They absorb carbon dioxide, produce oxygen, prevent soil erosion, and provide habitat for countless species. They’re also key players in regulating Earth’s climate and water cycles.

However, despite their abundance, trees are disappearing at an alarming rate. We lose about 15 billion trees every year, making reforestation efforts more vital than ever.
