Mr. Gihyeon has been taking two lessons a week for almost a year now. He started completely new to the game of Chess, only playing with family here and there; he is now is over 1000 rated on chess.com

His ability to listen, ask questions, deep think and be self-reflective upon himself has gotten him the success and development that he has earned. An amazing student and friend

Ms. Mubaraka and Ms. Nailah are sisters that have been taking lessons since August of last year. Completely new to the game of chess, they have developed their critical thinking, planning and pattern recognition tremendously since then. They are a pleasure to teach, love Katseye and always have the coolest outfits.

Mr. Drew has been superb and a joy to teach over the last year. His growth in chess paired with his cheesy, witty jokes makes every lesson very fun to teach. I’ve also been educated on the entirety of Fnaf lore without having played the game in over a decade

Mr. Lucas has been taking lessons consistently for almost an over year now. His improvement has been incredible both his puzzles and his games. He used to always ask for help on his opening moves but now can play an entire game pretty well all by himself. He has great determination and kindness!

Mr. Micky has been attending his chess lessons since January and has been learning amazingly. Cultivating his passions and friendships. He is so fun teaching and playing with!
