It’s time to get your lawnmower in tip-top shape for the season! Here are some maintenance tips to ensure your mower runs smoothly:

1. **Change the Oil**: Fresh oil is crucial for keeping your engine healthy. Drain the old oil and refill it with the recommended type.

2. **Replace the Spark Plug**: A new spark plug can make a big difference in starting your mower. Check for wear and replace it if necessary.

3. **Sharpen the Blades**: Dull blades can tear grass instead of cutting it cleanly. Sharpen or replace blades for a healthier lawn.

4. **Clean the Air Filter**: A clean air filter helps your engine breathe better. Check it for dirt and debris, and clean or replace it as needed.

5. **Inspect Cables and Belts**: Look for any signs of wear on cables and belts. Replace any that are frayed or damaged to avoid breakdowns.

6. **Check the Fuel System**: If you stored your mower with fuel in it, drain any old fuel and refill with fresh gas. Add a fuel stabilizer if needed.

7. **Clean the Deck**: Remove grass clippings and debris from the mower deck to prevent rust and ensure proper cutting.

8. **Tire Pressure**: If your mower has wheels, check the tire pressure and inflate them to the recommended levels for better maneuverability.

Following these tips now will make all the difference when it's time to tackle your lawn. If you need a hand, give me a call!

When I'm not tinkering in the garage, I'm also a volunteer firefighter. Our local department has received a call to assist our neighbors in battling the wildfires so I'll be heading out on deployment tomorrow to lend a hand.

⚠️ Please note: This means I won't be available in the shop for any new repairs until August 1st. ⚠️

However, I'm excited to help you with all your small engine needs once I return! Feel free to connect with me, and I'll be in touch to schedule appointments and assist you starting August 1st.

Thank you for your understanding 🙏🚒
