A breakfast meeting this morning, then a job. Then lunch. Then trying to decide whether to go on another job (an hour drive each way, plus 1-1.5 hours on site) or to take a nap.
Elna Adams Jeanes decided for me. I can do the job and she will take the nap.
So I’m on site, sitting on the back of the van, listening to her sleep-breathing. Ready to go home but don’t want to wake her.

This 3 week old tweet from Columbia Missouri's Fire Department emphasizes the importance of requesting a locate, and hand excavating near marked utilities after the locate. Luckily these two guys got away with minor non-life threatening injuries and minor damage to the home. However, it could have been far worse for the excavators and the surrounding community. Always call before you dig.
