Basic Human Needs

This week we are starting a small project at home to replace the sagging and termite-eaten roof outside in front of the house. It will also be our first attempt at curing bamboo with BORAX and BORIC ACID. We dug a big hole to soak it in, too. The boys will also be making an outdoor kitchen area in the backyard. The Dharikar People are traditionally bamboo craftsmen, usually weaving bamboo baskets and kitchen utensils to sell in the local markets.

Early morning camp breakfast is becoming our favourite time of the day to meet with our Dharikar kids and check health and progress. Thank you so much to Learn For Life for providing the brekkies these days. Such a treat!
