We at GVR LAW are proud to announce that both Articled Students have successfully been called to the Bar of British Columbia and officially Lawyers! We are very proud! Congrats!

GVR Law welcomes Tiara Cunningham to our team while she makes her last step through law school!

Tiara is a third-year law student currently pursuing her Juris Doctor degree at the University of British Columbia's Peter A. Allard School of Law in Vancouver. Throughout her academic journey, Tiara has demonstrated a commitment to advocacy and community engagement, notably serving on the executive board of the Indigenous Law Students Association. She has also provided crucial legal assistance to underserved populations in various areas of law during her term as a clinic head at the Vancouver Provincial Court for the Law Students' Legal Advice Program.

Prior to attending law school, Tiara pursued her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a specialization in Criminology from the University of Alberta in Edmonton.

In addition to her volunteer work, Tiara gained valuable insight into corporate law during the summer following her first year of law school while working alongside in-house counsel for a large chain restaurant spanning Canada and the United States. Tiara has since redirected her focus toward her passion for family law and child protection where she is eager to expand her practical experience beyond the classroom to make a meaningful impact on clients.

GVR LAW welcomes Manjot Bajwa to the GVR team. Manjot (aka "Mannie") is currently an Articled Student as he makes his way to be called to the practice of law in British Columbia.
