Well friends of Facebook and beyond. Some bittersweet news today. The end of an era has finally arrived. Z & Bee co is moving on from the honey business. It was a fantastic adventure learning about bees, collecting swarms, extracting honey, and meeting so many people in the community that had a passion for supporting local, buying fresh, and caring for the world around them.

This decision was not made lightly, a lot of discussion happened, namely, how many more stings and trips to the ER are you going to take as you are legitimately allergic to bee stings? A simple question from my wife. And one whose answer is hopefully no more trips.

You can still find our honey at the Green Bee Floral Co. booth set up at the Downtown Strathroy Market today. We will also have honey stalked at our store and other events until sold out.

But let’s end this tale on a happy note. The journey is not yet over. Our friends over at Mulberry Moon Farm have agreed to carry on the business of the bees. The bees have been living on their organic farm property for a number of years now, and I personally think it is a great fit. So look to find honey at their stands in the future.

And now, I bid you all a good day. Thank you for your years of patronage. It has been a pleasure serving the community in this small capacity. It sure was sweet, and having to say goodbye does sting. Thankfully, this sting doesn’t require a trip to the ER.
