JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Experience and knowledge working on newer and older vehicles including muscle cars, classics, race cars and hot rods
- The ability to troubleshoot minor and major problems
- Remove and reinstall engines
- Experience with wiring
- Repair vehicles in a timely and financially responsible manner
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Operate equipment/vehicles on road tests
- Welding & fabrication experience an asset
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ability to communicate when parts are needed or additional repairs are required
- Effective time management skills – able to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines with the ability to multi-task
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive team player
- Hardworking, reliable and dependable
- Courteous, professional and positive attitude required
- Capable of delivering great customer service
- Motivated and able to work independently
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to research with average to above-average computer skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certificate
- Canadian High School Diploma
- Valid Drivers License with a good drivers abstract
- 5+ years working in the trade
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Possession of complete set of hand tools
- Steel toed safety boots
- Reliable personal transportation
