What an absolutely AMAZING last day of classes for grade 7s! So much fun was had at Alberta Parks Wyndham-Carseland Provincial Park - making nature art, going on a hike, feeding chickadees, listening for a variety of birds, playing games, and having a BBQ! We then ended the day with a popcorn party and movie, which the grade 7s won by selling the most popcorn in our school fundraiser. Epic!

Today another tradition was formed by having our Grade 9’s take a stroll through the school flanked on both sides by our staff and the rest of the junior high! The gauntlet prevailed and we wish our Grade 9’s the best of luck on their remaining finals and in their time at high school!

All year our Grade 9 leadership class have been finding ways to leave their mark on CMJHS and today this group helped us create a new Crowther tradition! Not only did our Grade 9’s get to leave their mark on this group legacy project but the mural will be used for years to come for our future last day celebrations! Thank you!

On Tuesday, June 23 from 9 am- noon, there will be a workshop for all students interested in being a part of New Blood. New Blood is a touring theatre production that tells the story of our indigenous students’ grandparents. All students are welcome and you can do tech or performance. Gr 9’s are also welcome!

On June 24 from 9-12 we have a tech workshop from 9-12 for all students interested in lighting and sound. Gr. 9’s are welcome.
