Oh wait a second, you want ME, that guy who doesn’t really know how to swim and sorta panics when in the water to ‘swim’ through an underground lava tube that’s fully flooded?
Internally I was saying HELL NO although externally I did what I always try to do when scared which is to reach for my cameras and use it as a shield between me and my fears. Face to face fear is scary although looking at it through a viewfinder isn’t so bad… I guess that why the warring says “objects may appear further away then they really are” 😜

That time in Hawaii we went up the wrong mountain yet it turned out to be better than the right one!
looks out at Mauna Kea from high up on it’s sister volcano Mauna Lau.
Although Mauna Kea is unquestionably the more popular destination due to its title of being ‘the tallest’ and being home to a large observatory Mauna Loa is unquestionably the more lively and active volcano with its most recent eruption occurring in 1985 which was quite evident while hiking around on its not so ancient lava flows.
