~ CLOTH DIAPERS

Well we’re ready to jump into the adventure of cloth nappies/diapers.

I knew as soon as I found out I was pregnant that this was something I wanted to do.

For several reasons:

1. Sustainability. A standard disposable takes 500 YEARS to decompose.
2. Toxins: Many store bought disposables are ridden with hidden toxins and harsh chemicals that will sit for hours on bubs bum.
3. Cost: in the 1 month of having bubs we have spent well over $100 on disposable diapers. So far I have spent $600 on cloth diapers (a mix of brand new and second hand.) That cost is capped. Disposables are endless.

At first it can seem really overwhelming finding a process that works for you. And it’s not really a one size fits all system. I am still figuring out the best way for us, but it’s an exciting journey to be on!

Have you made the switch? What tips can you offer us newbies?

Did you ever think that this highly used item could be exposing your babes to environmental toxins?

The great news is there are better options! You just need to know what to keep an eye out for when choosing your products.

The reason I LOVE DIY’s is because I get to control the ingredients.

DIY’ing doesn’t have to be overwhelming or time consuming. It will take you less time to make than to drive to the store and buy any other product. And in most cases you will SAVE money!

So it’s a win win for me!!

Are you ready to make the switch?
