A Message from A.M. Bistro Queen location

I want to begin by sincerely thanking all my loyal customers who have supported me over the years, and to warmly welcome all the new faces who have joined recently. Your continued encouragement truly means the world to me.

As many of you know, I’ve long wanted to have a dedicated location for pick-ups outside of my home — a step toward creating a clearer separation between my personal and professional life.

This July, that goal finally became a reality. However, balancing the needs of my Champlain location — which will always remain my top priority — along with this new Queen location has presented its share of challenges. The ongoing RBC construction added another layer of complexity, but in hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. It allowed me to step back and re-evaluate what I truly wanted the Queen location to become.

The Queen space was an important step for the continued growth and needs of the Champlain Bistro. After much reflection and consideration, and keeping in mind what is best for my family — especially while my children are still young — I’ve decided to adjust the vision for A.M. Bistro QUEEN.

Moving forward, A.M. Bistro QUEEN will no longer operate as a restaurant. Instead, it will serve as a dedicated pick-up location.
A set menu will be available for pre-orders, with pick-up dates arranged individually. I’m in the process of creating an online ordering platform, where available items will be listed and extras will be posted as they come up. Foe the time being you can still place your order through messaging me via messager, or sending me an email, or Text message.

This new model will allow me to reduce food waste, manage both locations more efficiently, and continue offering high-quality food to my amazing customers outside of Champlain.

Thank you all for your continued support, patience, and understanding as A.M. Bistro continues to grow and evolve.

If you dont see what you are looking for, and would like to see if I can make it, feel free to ask - I am Always looking to expand my menu.

Pick ups for for week will always be on Thursday & Fridays at the Queen location with the possibility of Saturdays if needed.

I am looking for someone who loves to work under pressure, who can hustle even when we have a 50 foot line up out the door. Someone who i can trust to give the same service when I am not present as they do when i am there.

A.M. Bistro is located in the Champlain college building.

We follow the STUDENT Schedule. meaning that when there is no class for students we are not opened (aka : you dont work- you are not paid) There is 1 week we are closed in Oct, 6 weeks at Christmas, march break and then closed for summer as of May.

1 position to fill.
Start date August 11 2025
Shift is : Monday to Friday
9:00am - 5:00pm (Monday-Thursday)
9:00am- 2:00pm (Friday)
Salary TBD

Responsibilities
Greet customers, make suggestions and answer questions about food and beverages;
Take orders, place ordere in the POS system, process payment via interact machine or cash.
Prepare drinks, serve meals and pastries while ensuring quality and professional service at all times.
Clean the tables in the dining room
Prepare invoices, collect sums of money and balance the day's financial transactions ( counting cash)
Apply hygiene and sanitation rules as well as occupational health and safety rules (Hair must be always tied up, no fake nails or nail polish, no jewelry when working.)
Ensure the cleanliness and constant organization of your workstation. ( including taking garbage and recycling out, sweeping and mopping the floor)
Restock items as we run out.
Meal prep for the day ( including : chopping vegetables and fruit, making sandwiches and wraps, ect)
Keep pastry case full based on demand
Must be able to move quick and keep up, be pro-active and willing to learn and catch on quickly
Have excellent communication skills with student (most of our clients are college student )
